Intelligent Design

A theory I always believed but had trouble puting into words, without dragging "God" or "Super-Natural" into it.

An Introduction to Intelligent Design: "What is Intelligent Design?
Something has been intelligently designed when it is the end product of a thoughtful process that had that product in mind. In other words, intelligent design originates in a mind.
"

The Theory:
The theory of intelligent design holds that certain features of the universe and living things are best explained by an intelligent cause, and are not the result of an undirected, chance-based process such as Darwinian evolution.

Interesting - both the idea and the site - thanks!
Will not get into the endless arguments this can provoke - but it reminded me of the book - "The Collapse of Chaos - Discovering Simplicity in a Complex World" (by Jack Cohen and Ian Stewart), where they try to explain everything through reductionism (which believes that complexitites at one level can be traced back to a large number of simple elements at a lower level)-the book perhaps negates the concept of intelligent design, but at the same time, does not give a completely comprehensive alternative explanation for all phenomena. As always, the ending has to be - "Science is still evolving, we don't know enough!"

There is a section in it on "God in the Big Bang", too long, will post it on my blog.
